Isolation Baking

Full disclaimer here, I am not a baker or professional in this field but I am an artist and lover of all things creative. I love cake decorating and little by little I’m getting better at baking. I’m spending my Covid 19 isolation time trying to remain productive & learn new things. One of which is baking.. yum! I started of trying to perfect scones then cupcakes, pancakes and Victoria sponge. Maybe I’ll jump on the banana bread bandwagon next who knows, we’ll go wild sure!! Like most people I google a recipe for something I want to make and go with the easiest one I find.

My Workspace

I want to do a run through of my workspace and the materials I use. Artists work spaces can be very personal and therapeutic, well mine is at least. This is in the corner of our bedroom, it’s where I do all of my traditional drawings or paintings and sometimes digital stuff if I’m not too cosy in bed to get up. I have all my supplies at hand which makes life much easier when I’m in a work flow, especially during college assignments. In this post I’m going to share what’s on my desk and how I organise my supplies...

Why I Have An iPad Pro

A year ago I bought my own iPad, I chose the 12.9" iPad Pro. The main reason I wanted it was for digital drawing but having everything in one place is so handy. I'm going to go through some tips and tricks I've learned and some apps that I use..

My First Christmas Window Painting

Christmas 2017 was my first ever attempt at window painting. I painted the windows and doors of the shop that I work at. I'd obviously never done it before so I had a bit of trial and error to do, youtube tutorials and the staff at The Art & Hobby Shop in Athlone were very helpful. Here's how and what I used to do it..

Exploring New York City!

When I was 18 my sister, Ellen, and I decided to head over to The Big Apple for a week. BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE. New York is such an amazing city, it's like walking straight into your TV and being in a world of Gossip Girl and Friends. I've got a serious case of the travel bug and this trip really heightened that feeling for me. I would go back in a heartbeat, you definitely have to experience it. We went in November during the week of Thanksgiving and more importantly during the madness of Black Friday!! It was such a magical time to be there but I would love to go back in the Summer and do it all over again. Except this time without not leaving the hotel room unless I had a woolly hat & scarf and big jacket. New York is so inspiring to a young artist, the buildings, the street art, the unlimited photo ops is just breathtaking. A picture speaks a thousand words so here is a collection of snaps from my time spent in the city that never sleeps.
